FlardaFish began as a result of many people working, laughing, relaxing and fishing together.
FlardaFish founder Matt Mitchell has never lived in another state and caught his first fish (redfish) on his own - sitting on the ferry dock on Dog Island on a frozen shrimp. He was hooked way before that, however. His Dad often would take him fishing either on pleasure or work trips on a tunnel boat for mullet, offshore for grouper, on the river for red belly bream or to an Uncle's house to catch a bass in a little pond. Poppy is his best fishing partner to this day.
Whether relaxing at the coast with family and friends or working at his day job, conversation with Matt seems to always end up discussing what is biting in-shore or offshore, hoping for better weather or to brag about a recent catch. It was the enjoyment of this lifestyle and urging of this very group of supporters that led to the dream of FlardaFish becoming a reality.
In 2011, the facebook page launched to a great response from anglers of all walks of life. Once facebook supporters grew to a respectable number, a fishing partner and friend designed the sleek FlardaFish logo and printed a couple of hundred vinyl decals. One month later, another family friend had enough interest in the brand to leverage his marketing experience to develop this website and a top-notch marketing plan. Most importantly, his wife and daughter followed along while the business quickly grew from their living room to more than six countries and 15 states - much to their amazement.
FlardaFish has no competition, we just have fishing partners. FlardaFish and you fishing together and the fish are biting.
FlardaFish.com values the input from you and we welcome the occasional (or frequent) invite to raise some sails off the Southeast coast, pick up some bugs in the keys or to pole the flats in the panhandle casting to tailing reds. So send us your "tips" to make this site the best it can be to info@FlardaFish.com.
